Over the last few day's I have been experimenting with different materials. I have continued to create the bottom half of the body using masking tape. I layered the tape to strenghten the form and then I cut the back of the piece and slipped it off easy because of the clingfilm I used underneath. I taped the piece back together to create this hollow form.
I have also experiemented with clay. I found it difficult to hold the shape of the head catching the clay when its leather hard so it does't fall apart. The piece fortunitly held and the result was a bulky and heavly built slightly deformed face. This piece has got me thinking of how I can explore the state of being deformed or even a bodily malformation.
